Changes to the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document 2017

The new School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) 2017 has now been published by the Department for Education (DfE).

The main amendments to the document since 2016 is that the School Teachers Review Body recommends:

• A 2% increase to the minimum and maximum of the main pay range
• A 1% increase to the minimum and maximum of all other pay ranges in the national framework (including headteacher groups) and all allowances across all pay ranges

These are detailed within the document and are the recommendations you can follow in accordance with the statutory guidance. What schools decide to do regarding other pay points and allowances is at the discretion of the school through their pay policy. The 2017 STPCD is available here.
