Autumn Census in ScholarPack 2020

01/10/20 is the Autumn Census day this year (unless stated otherwise by your LA), so let’s make a start, and get ahead of the game!

The Autumn Census in ScholarPack will be slightly different this year due to the cancellation of the May Census, so let’s go through the changes:

• Summer term attendance will not be collected however, the DfE will still require: pupil no longer on roll records for all pupils with DOB between 01/09/2003 and 31/08/2015 (aged between 4 and 15 as at 31/08/2019), with a leaving date between 01/01/2020 and 31/07/2020 and are not a boarder.
• Exclusions Data will be collected between 01/09/19 – 31/07/20
• FSM Data will be collected between 17/01/20 – 01/10/20

New Exclusion Reasons!

From autumn 2020, change to extend the exclusion reason and allow up to three reasons to be submitted per exclusion.

There’s also a new Exclusion Reason for this year that will start to be reported on in the Spring.

PH – Wilful and repeated transgression of protective measures in place to protect public health The DfE is aware that this new code is being introduced at very short notice and knows that the new code may not be available in the software if required at the start of this academic year. So they suggest that an alternative code is used until this new code is available. Any ‘alternative’ code must be replaced by the ‘actual’ code in time for reporting in School Census Spring 2021.
