New Remote Service - Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning with Power BI

We are now offering a NEW Remote Service - Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning with Power BI.

Here at School Business Services we know only too well that the burden on school staff is increasing and deadlines continue to come thick and fast. Our MIS Remote Services are designed so that our experienced team can carry out the processes for you; leaving you and your admin staff free to focus on other tasks.

Our Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning with Power BI Service

This service uses Curriculum and Personnel data from SIMS, data from your finance package and Microsoft Power BI to examine how efficiently your school is running and give some insights on how changes could be made. 

The package was originally developed by Capita to help schools follow advice provided by DfE on ICFP.

SBS have added some enhancements to the Capita offering and we will be continuing to develop the package to provide schools with more of the information that the DfE recommend schools need to inform their medium and long term planning - see School resource management: top 10 planning checks for governors - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

What's included in this service?

SBS can remotely install and configure the package on your school system. We will also show your SLT and School Business Manager how to use it and refresh the data it requires.

We will:

• Ask you to fill in a data collection form. It should take you no more than 10 minutes to complete and helps us to tailor the Power BI file to your school
• Install and configure the ICFP file for your school
• Tailor the SIMS reports for your school installation
• Extract your current SIMS data and populate the Power BI file
• Demonstrate how to use the system to interrogate your data

All you need to do is:

• Provide the basic school details and finance data in the required format
• Install Power BI on your computer
• Ensure your SIMS login is a member of the Third Party Reporter permissions group
• Be available for the installation, configuration and online training

The cost for this service is £135. This price includes Installation, Setup and Training.
